Introducing Altitude: The Ecosystem and Portfolio Education Partner

Altitude founders Brianna and Danielle met while working together at an accelerator for one of the top VCs in the world. While there they noticed some of the flaws in the current accelerator model, including the lack of standardized content being taught, the difficulty instructors had tailoring content to fit the wide range of startups accepted, and a lack of support for post-seed stage startups.

Today, most accelerators take a one-size-fits-all approach. They can be highly competitive and once founders are accepted, they realize the programming is designed to cater to startups in all different industries, at different stages, with different needs. Because they have to cover so much ground, these programs are also time-intensive and take founders away from doing what matters most—running their business.

For funds running these programs, it’s difficult to customize the content of the program to the unique needs and timelines of each startup. It’s expensive and time consuming to deliver a program that truly adds value, and it generally requires a full-time team to manage it. These programs also usually focus only on early-stage education, leaving a gap in the market for post-seed stage programming and support. Unless a fund has significant management fees to build out a robust platform team in-house, post-seed stage founders in need of support are left trying to get 1-on-1 time with a partner or seeking help from their existing network.

After experiencing these issues first-hand, Brianna and Danielle saw an opportunity to dramatically improve the way accelerator programs are run—and thus Altitude Programs was born. We’re on a mission to make high quality education for startups more accessible, more action-oriented, and better fit to what founders need when they need it. We’re committed to delivering programs with tailored content, designed and led by world-class mentors who work hands-on with founders to ensure they meet and exceed their goals.
